Tentena Tours

Tentena, a charming little town tucked into the edge of the beautiful Lake Poso, is an ideal stopover for travelers bound for Ampana. Fringed by hills dusted with scented clove trees, Tentena is cooled by the gentle winds off the lake. Its splendid natural landscapes aside, the town offers a small local marketplace and an unusual and delicious food scene, along with some nearby beaches. The town is also the center of the Christian community of the region, which is the largest Protestant church of Central Sulawesi. The cluster of the three semi-rural towns of Pamona, Sangele and Tentena form part of the local Tentena community of Sulawesi. Perhaps the best time to visit Tentena is during the annual Festival of Lake Poso.
