In Satao Elerai you experience a real African adventure sensation. It is nestled amongst trees overlooking a water hole, an oasis in the vast scrubland of Amboseli National Park. The 20 spacious tents form a semi-circle facing the water hole. Each tent is equipped with electricity from the camp generator and has a private bathroom with running water. The showers are in the ‘old fashioned’ safari style whereby the camp staff brings hot water in the evening, filling the shower bags. After a day on game drives and guided bush walks, dine in the open plain restaurant and after dinner relax around the campfire, just like in the good old days.
That's where the safari really began, seeing the elephants, giraffes and zebras at the watering hole below during our first meal.

Beautiful in everyway. The tents were delightful. I felt like I was in the film, "Out of Africa"!

We were very lucky to see Mt Kilimanjaro, only for 1 minutes one morning before the clouds took over, which was a highlight....Read More
