Bryce Canyon National Park offers spectacular views of the red rock country that ranges across the state’s south. The iconic Bryce Amphitheater is a vast expanse dotted with hoodoos or crimson-colored rocks shaped like spires. These are best viewed from the Rim Trail hiking path across outlooks such as Inspiration Point and Bryce Point, while the Sunrise and Sunset Points let you savor the landscape at its most dramatic. The Navajo Loop Trail takes you from the Sunset Point to the floor of the Bryce Canyon past hoodoos with equally striking names such as Wall Street, Twin Bridges, and Thor’s Hammer. For a more relaxed descent, take the Queen’s Garden Trail that starts at the Sunrise Point and ends at Queen’s Garden, named after a rock formation with a supposed resemblance to Queen Victoria. Agua Canyon, Black Birch Canyon, and Rainbow Points are other remarkable sights that you can pack in a scenic day drive through this beautiful reserve.
