Learn about the symbolism and the ancient history of the temples from your local guide as you observe the grand buildings. Borobudur is considered the garden of Java, due to its agricultural heritage and timeless fertile lands. Borobudur is most famed for its ancient 9th century Mahayana Buddhist temple, located on a hill between the twin volcanoes of Sundoro-Sumbing and Merbabu-Merapi, and next to Progo River and Elon River.

Start from your hotel before dawn and drive to the Borobudur Temple – the largest Buddhist temple in the world. At the terrace, discover 72 openwork stupas, each containing a statue of the Buddha. Ride through the by-lanes with your local guide to catch glimpses of villagers going about their daily lives Soak in the beautiful sights and sounds of the countryside beyond the village, against the backdrop of the emerald Menoreh Hills. Ride up to Jowahan Village and learn about rural cottage industries. Watch skillful village potters at work, visit a Javanese rice cracker factory as well as a traditional tofu factory. Make a pit stop for a local coffee tasting session. Savor the flavor of Indonesian Luwak coffee, and hear the story behind the distinctive brew. Prepare for a glimpse of local life where humans live in harmony with nature. Cycle through the traditional rural Balinese setting and interact with master craftsmen and artisans in their homes. Look upon stunning views of the terraced rice fields in community farms where you might get to see harvesting or planting activities depending on the season. Sip some fresh coconut water as you see firsthand the Subak system of irrigation unique to the region. Wrap up your bike tour with an organic lunch at a restaurant set amid a rice field. In the afternoon, set off to see the picturesque town with its cafes, bookshops, and boutique stores. Enjoy the natural beauty of the town as you make your way to the Agung Rai Museum of Art. Head to the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary that sprawls over 27 acres of cool and dense jungle in Padangtegal village. See the grey-haired macaque monkeys at this reserve and temple complex which functions as a crucial spiritual, educational, economic, and conservation center for the village. Move on to see Puri Saren Agung that dates back to the 19th century and served as the residence for the royal family. Built by Ida Tjokorda Putu Kande, the founder of the Ubud kingdom, this palace features the traditional style of exquisite wood carving. HD- Mt.Batur Sunrise Trek & The Holy Spring Of Tirta Empul
Catch the sunrise over Mt Batur with an early morning trek to the peak. You will leave your hotel around 3am and reach the starting point of the trek after a 1 hour drive. The climb up to the peak takes 60-90 minutes and the final stretch is quite steep. Experience a breath-taking view of the sunrise and a panoramic view of the valley and Lake Batur below. Coffee or tea as well as a light breakfast can be had at the peak. After your climb down, energize your body and mind with a swim in the hot springs at the shore of Lake Batur before visiting the Tirta Empul Palace, a holy spring water temple at Tampak Siring Village where you can watch Balinese Hindus purifying their souls.
