Unearth Delhi’s rich history with this half day tour. Discover the colonial buildings of Lutyens’ Delhi, designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens. Drive by the historic President’s house and Parliament Museum, and discover the treasures stored within the national museum too. Right in the heart of Connaught Place, you will find the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. This was the haveli (private mansion) of Mirza Raja Jai Singh, an important military leader for Aurangzeb, the sixth Mughal emperor. Discover India Gate, the prominent landmark in Delhi that commemorates the 90,000 soldiers who lost their lives during the First World War. Pay homage to a leader of the Indian Independence movement, Mahatma Gandhi, at Raj Ghat where a black marble platform marks the place of his cremation. Enjoyable Hike to Ethnic Village
Set off at a convenient time on this adventurous hike to a fascinating ethnic village tucked the mountains of Amer on this private tour. Walk across the mountains for a little over half a mile (1 km) to reach the summit from where you can savor panoramic views of Amer city and the lush jungle of Nahargarh Bio Park. Start descending for another half mile (1 km) till you arrive at an ancient village that nestles in the vegetation. Saunter around the hamlet and interact with the residents for a glimpse into typical life in the village. Relish fragrant tea and munch on home-cooked snacks before you start your return journey. Amble along a different route to explore the ruins of an ancient fort at Kumbhalgarh. Head on to a water reservoir named Sagar to see firsthand the age-old methods of water conservation. Past a meandering stairway leading to the hilltop, visit the temple complex that features deities in small caves, tiny stone installations, and perpetual firepits. Waking up early, set out for the lush rolling meadows inside Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary that covers the Jhandi Dhar hills. Greeting locals as you pass by Kumaoni villages, make your way through picturesque winding trails, along gentle streams, terraced fields, and shrines. Further, amid forests of oaks, pines, and rhododendrons, soak in the peaceful surrounds as delightful jungle thrum fills the crisp mountain air.
