Sehlabathebe National Park, with amazing rock formations and sandstone sculptures, offers fantastic hiking and horse riding opportunities.
3 Day Horse Riding In Sehlabathebe National Park Embark on a horse riding adventure that takes you deep into remote and spectacularly beautiful Sehlabathebe National Park. Follow an age old donkey trail up the pass, undisturbed by other people or traffic and expect endless planes, amazing mountains, incredibly friendly people, Bushman’s paintings, waterfalls and herds of wild horses. Day 1: After breakfast, start your day with a short drive to the Lesotho border where you saddle up. After a gentle start, the trail ascends 1000 meters up to the Bushmans Nek Pass and reaches a plateau where you have lunch. At this stage you have entered Lesotho. We continue the ride past amazing rock formations and stay at our lodge “the croft” in a small town just outside Sehlabathebe. The lodge is located on top of a mountain and offers beautiful views. Day 2: A spectacular day of horse riding and exploring Sehlabathebe National Park. There are lots of opportunities to see Bushman paintings and beautiful views. Cross a gorge and a mountain range and discover a secret lake, with a variety of rare birds, such as the crested crane. This night we stay in Ha Semanyane village, where you will have the chance to check out the local shop, try some of the local home brew beer and experience Basotho village life. Day 3: Having sampled the amazing Lesotho bread for breakfast, you head out, returning via a largely different route from the way up. Cross through the ‘Valley of the Wild Horses’ – where there are wild horses – and stop at the Tsoelikane waterfall. Offering opportunities for exhilarating gallops, the day ends in the afternoon at your hotel, where a hot shower awaits you.
Africa’s Wild Coast is an incredible and unique combination of breathtaking coastline, precipitous and craggy cliff faces, wild and desolate beaches, secluded bays and green rolling hills that rush headlong into deeply etched river valleys.

These families will entertain you with cultural stories over delicious meals before you embark on another hiking expedition. Rugged coastlines, indigenous forests, crystal clear waters, pristine beaches and breath taking scenery are some of what makes the Wild Coast unlike any other in the world.
