Puno lies directly on the banks of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, and is located at 3,800 m above sea level. The native inhabitants of the area Uros live on floating islands in the lake, and welcome visitors. Visit to the Villages of Juli and Pomata

Travel south along the shores of Lake Titicaca to the villages of Juli and Pomata. Juli has also been described as the Rome of Perú owing to its numerous religious structures, as well as due to the fact that this was the chosen base of Jesuit and Dominican monks to propagate Christianity in the Andean Highlands. Pomata houses one of the most important churches of South America. Both towns offer a great view into the Spanish heritage of Peru. (08:00 to 13:00, Private Activity)
