Born and brought up in the beautiful Himalayan region of India, Anand has a degree in Hotel Management from Ram Institute in Dehradun. He has worked at the Oberoi Wildflower Hall, Shimla, for two years as well as at the Oberoi Vanyavilas in Ranthambore, becoming closely acquainted with the nitty-gritties of the luxury hospitality industry through this time.
After moving to Delhi, India, Anand met Enchanting Travels’ Co-Founder and CEO Parik Laxminarayan in 2007, and there was no looking back for him! More than a decade later, he continues to lead with his enthusiasm and dedication to the Product Management team in Asia.
MOST ENCHANTING TRAVEL
I have added loads of travel stories and experiences to my personal collection over the years and continue to do so every day. Some of these are really funny – from checking in the wrong guests for a night to carting around 15 bags on the railway track for a guest in Delhi!
However, the most amazing story is from my second and recent trip to Japan, at the Mt Fuji trek before the start of our official work trip. This was my first trek ever and I was very skeptical about whether I would make it all the way. After a flight delay and nearly missing our trek, we finally managed to reach on the fateful day of the trek. I was super excited and ready with all my trekking gear, even though I had not slept for nearly two days. And there we were and what an amazing sight it was! Reaching the summit and experiencing the sunrise on the next was just outstanding – I was blown away! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to explore Mt Fuji and the beautiful landscape.
Enchanting Travels has given me a reason to make people happy and offer life-changing moments to our guests. Every day is precious and I would like to continue my love for food and passion for travel through my work and keep enchanting!
