Sumaq’, meaning ‘beautiful’ in the Incan language, lies on the banks of the river Urubamba and completely justifies its given name! The rooms are pleasantly spacious, designed in an appealing and unobstrusive manner; while the cuisine served here is excellent, and the splendid in-house spa is the perfect place to relax and recoup your energies after a trip to Machu Picchu.
First class, excellent hotel with a view of the mountain road leading up to Machu Picchu. Wonderful rooms and great meal for dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Very nice hotel. Lots of extras--beverages and snacks presented to us when we arrived, tea time, free pisco sours, cooking classes. The food was very good in the restaurant and even though they had a fixed menu, they accommodated a special request for an entree.
