Gain a deep perspective of the breathtaking waterfalls, recently named one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Three sets of trails and walkways allow you to explore the natural beauty of the falls and the surrounding jungle as you walk through the national park. On the lower circuit take in a view of the falls from below, feeling part of the natural surroundings, and sensing their great magnitude. The upper circuit takes you above the falls where you get a different perspective of the same waterfalls you just saw on the lower circuit. And no visit to Iguazu is complete without viewing the Devil’s Throat Falls, where you stand just feet from the thundering cascades of water tumbling to depths below. (09:00 to 15:00. Feel the excitement build on the day before you set out for Falklands, St. Georgia and Antarctica. Spend this day at leisure, perhaps with a pleasant ramble around Ushuaia. Tucked in the heart of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, this charming port town boasts of varied attractions – near and far. Feel the wind in your face as you walk down the pier and take in a horizon dotted with ships and boats. You could do culture trip with a visit to the Museo Maritimo which houses four museums in a restored prison complex. Alternatively, hike up to the top of the hill for splendid views of the Beagle Channel or the Martial Glaciers beyond. Unwind with a cool craft beer at any one of its hip cafes or savor authentic Fuegan cuisine like local seafood platter.

By far the most exotic vacation destination around the world you would ever visit, a  spectacularly white landscape of snow, icebergs, and glaciers, iconic wildlife of whales, seals and penguins, await you in Antarctica.

Southern Seas Explorer Cruise
Climb aboard your cruise ship and begin your expedition to the Falklands, St. Georgia and Antarctica. The next day takes you to the open seas of as you alternately attend presentations by the Expedition Team and soak in the fast changing landscape around you. Spend days three and four exploring the Falkland Islands with experts. Land at Port Stanley and breathe in the lingering colonial air of this former British outpost in its churches and pubs. Go birding as this is the native habitat of endemic species such as the flightless Falkland steamer duck and the rarely seen Cobb’s wren. Keep your cameras within easy reach to capture the delightful gait of Magellanic, gentoo and southern rockhopper penguins. Over days five and six, continue your journey southwards till you cross into Antarctic waters. Get to know all about the Antarctic convergence from your Expeditions team even as you spot whales and other marine life flocking to these nutrient rich waters. Explore the rich natural history of South Georgia on days eight through eleven. Witness Emperor Penguin rookeries or seal colonies spread over wide expanses on the beach and check out old whaling stations at Grytviken. Over days seven and eight, as you get closer to Antarctica, marvel at the stunning icescapes all around. Weather permitting, you can land at St Orkney or move further towards South Shetland Islands. Days nine through 12 mark your actual discovery of the wonders of the White continent. Enjoy incredible wildlife encounters with the Antarctic whales on your Zodiac cruise or make shore landings to witness beaches bustling with penguin and seal colonies. Check out a research station to know more about the continent before you leave. Head back to the folds of civilization as you cross the Drake Passage on days 13 and 14 till day 15 marks your arrival at Ushuaia.
