Encounter Mara is hidden away in a forest inside the Mara Naboisho Conservancy, with each living area allowing views over the surrounding plains and valleys. The eco- friendly camp has been built with minimal impact to the surrounding environment. The salt lick on the side of the camp is a popular source of natural minerals for a variety of animals giving a unique vantage point to see the animals at close range from the lounge area. Each of the camp’s 12 twelve en-suite guest tents is custom-designed and spacious, with its own private veranda positioned to optimize game viewing. The lounge and dining tents with reading areas and rustic lounge chairs serve as a central meeting area and provide additional space for relaxation between activities and meals. Night game drives as well as bushwalks and village visits are some of the recommended activities that one must do while at the camp.
