Having traveled to foreign countries with her family right from her childhood, Samirah’s interest in different cultures and traditions was forged early on. In 2006, she spent a year as a volunteer in Ecuador and fell completely and utterly in love with South America. Spending several months in Brazil and traveling through the length and breadth of South America, she was struck by the diversity of the continent and was able to build lasting personal and professional relationships. As a current resident of Buenos Aires, her passion for the continent extends as much to its people and nature as it does to its languages and music.
A woman of many talents, Samirah has been part of a Brazilian percussion band for several years. She’s also a tango dancer with close ties to the Latin-American music scene. She takes pride in making her guests experience in South America – a continent with many faces – an unforgettable one!
